Floods encircle Bangkok industrial estates

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Floodwater encircled two industrial estates in the east of Bangkok on Monday and closed in on the center of the capital, disrupting bus services, although mass transit train systems were still running and commercial districts remained dry.

Thai floods claim more factories, Bangkok safe for now

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Floods in Thailand engulfed another industrial estate Sunday but the capital, Bangkok, appears for now to have escaped the devastation seen elsewhere in the country despite heavy monsoon rain and water streaming toward it from the north.
