Debris from wrecked cargo ship washes onto New Zealand beaches

Israel cabinet approves ICL’s Dead Sea salt extraction

JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Israel's cabinet on Sunday overwhelmingly approved a Finance Ministry plan in which Israel Chemicals (ICL) will pay 3.04 billion shekels ($ 796 million) to extract salt buildup on the Dead Sea floor and to double the royalties it pays on minerals extracted from the area.

Shell shutting Nigerian oil platform after leak

LONDON (Reuters) - Royal Dutch Shell is in the process of shutting its 200,000 barrels per day Bonga offshore oilfield in Nigeria after a leak occurred while loading a tanker on Tuesday, the firm said in a statement.
